International Conference for Deans and Directors 2008 - Lisbon

The 2008 Association of MBAs International Conference for Deans and Directors took place in Lisbon from 28-30 May 2008.

The Conference was a great success and with an audience of 170 deans and directors from accredited business schools around the world, attracted more high profile delegates than any previous conference.

The theme for the conference was Managing Complexity in Graduate Business Education. As always, the conference provided a perfect opportunity for deans, directors and business school contacts from accredited business schools to get together and discuss key issues
within the world of management education.

The Conference plenary sessions covered:

  • Managing complexity
  • Faculty and research
  • Curriculum and Delivery
  • Managing student expectation
  • World trends in management education
  • Developing the interface between business schools and corporates

Breakout sessions included:

  • Bologna report follow up
  • Engaging with the SME sector
  • The MBA recruitment market
